Uniform & Book

Uniforms and books are required for participation in Pack 20 and can be purchased from the Patriots Path Council scout shop at 1 Saddle Rd. in Cedar Knolls or on scoutshop.org. There is a different book for each grade, except that the Webelos book covers both 4th and 5th grades. The people at the store will help you find the right uniform parts, just tell them which grade.

Lions (Kindergarten)

The Lions uniform is simply a Lions cap and a t-shirt, with jeans on the bottom. No belt needed and jeans are fine.

Tigers-Bears (1st-3rd Grade)

Tigers-bears need:

• Blue button down shirt (council patch, flag patch and blue scouting patch should already be on) - get it big because it lasts through 3rd grade!
• Patch with den number (ask your den leader)
• Number Patches "2" and "0"
• Blue cub scouts belt - important for beltloop awards
• Colored kercheif
• Kercheif slide
• Hat
• Jeans are fine for bottoms

Wolves and Bears - shirt stays the same, except different color kercheifs, slides and hats each year.

Webelos (4th-5th Grade)

Webelos need:

• Beige button down shirt
• Webelos kercheif
• Webelos kercheif slide
• Webelos hat
• Webelos colors (for pins to be warn)
• Patches from the blue shirt can be transferred over to the Webelos shirt

Applying badges

You can sew them on or use a product called "Badge Magic" which is an adhesive (by far the easiest option).

Badge placement:

Note - Only award badges like the rank badges go on the shirt. Special badges, from events, campouts, etc. generally won't be applied to the shirt. They can be temporarily displayed on the right pocket in a badge holder or kept at home in a display case.
